My name is Heather and I am a fully qualified, BABCP registered Cognitive Behavioural Therapist working with Think CBT. I am currently offering sessions online via Zoom for Think CBT.
I have seven years experience of working as a therapist with a range of common mental health disorders, offering assessments and evidence based treatments to a wide range of clients.
I primarily offer CBT but have a strong interest in Mindfulness and Compassion Focussed Therapy which I use in my work. I am currently working towards my accreditation with the British Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches (BAMBA) through the Sussex Mindfulness Centre.
I have experience supervising therapists and have worked as a clinical tutor on UCL's Low Intensity CBT course.
My approach is to help you identify your current strengths and values to help you build a meaningful life. I feel that this provides a strong foundation for empowering you to learn new skills and overcome challenges in your life. I will meet you with warmth, curiosity and an approach tailored to you to help you in your recovery.
I abide by the professional and ethical standards laid out by the BABCP. I have full professional indemnity and current DBS clearance.
