If you’re feeling stuck in your own head—overthinking, doubting yourself, or constantly feeling like you’re not quite “enough”—you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
My name is Natalie McCandless, and I’m a Senior Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist working with Think CBT in London Bridge (SE1), as well as online.
I’ve been working as a therapist for over 17 years, supporting people through anxiety, low mood, and challenges with self-esteem. Many of the people I work with are used to holding it all together—but underneath, they feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves.
My background is in Psychology, with early experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse. I’ve since worked across NHS and private services, as well as with the Trauma and Counselling Service for the London Fire Brigade. These experiences have shaped a grounded, compassionate, and practical approach to therapy.
I have a particular interest in working with women and those struggling with self-esteem. Together, we look at the patterns that are keeping you stuck—whether that’s overthinking, perfectionism, or harsh self-criticism—and start to make sense of them in a way that feels manageable and empowering.
My approach is collaborative and straightforward. I bring clinical expertise, but I also believe you are the expert in yourself. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you understand yourself, build confidence, and feel more like yourself again.
I am also currently training to become a Mindfulness Teacher with Bangor University, which I integrate into my work where helpful.
