Hello!
My name is Poonam G Jetha, therapist working with Think CBT from CR8, CR0, EC3V & BS16. I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with over 18 years of clinical experience in the NHS, private practice, and independent sectors. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP), ensuring that I meet the highest standards of professional care. Throughout my career, I have accumulated over 8,500 hours of clinical practice, providing therapy to individuals facing a wide range of psychological challenges.

In addition to my existing qualifications, I am pursuing Therapist to Coach training (EMCC Associate Practitioner), due for completion in September 2026. I am also undertaking a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of the West of England (UWE), due for completion in 2028, and I am BPS registered. I offer coaching and psychodynamic therapy alongside CBT and EMDR, enabling an integrative approach tailored to both therapeutic and personal development needs.

My Approach to Therapy

I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Coaching to individuals experiencing a wide range of challenges. These evidence-based and insight-oriented approaches help clients address issues such as anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, low self-esteem, and major life transitions.

At the beginning of our work together, you’ll be invited to share your experiences at your own pace. Together, we will identify goals for therapy or coaching and work towards them collaboratively. My approach is client-centered, ensuring that therapy or coaching is always tailored to your unique needs, values, and aspirations.

Providing therapy, coaching, and consultancy services focused on personal development, leadership well-being, and emotional resilience.

Director & Senior CBT/EMDR Therapist – Psychological Therapies Limited (2013 – January 2023)
Delivered CBT, EMDR, coaching, and psychodynamic-informed therapy for a range of issues including anxiety, depression, menopause, low self-esteem, neurodiversity, and trauma. Supervised other therapists and contributed to service development and clinical quality standards.

Senior Clinical Research Fellow – Great Ormond Street Hospital (2021 – 2022)
Contributed to mental health research for children with epilepsy, integrating CBT and other interventions to improve mental health and emotional resilience. Supervised therapists and managed a caseload of complex clients.

At the start of our work, we will have an initial consultation to explore your concerns and agree on a personalized plan. I use CBT to identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, EMDR to process trauma, and psychodynamic and coaching techniques to explore underlying emotional patterns and support self-development. Together, we will work toward meaningful and sustainable change.
