My name is Stephanie and I am a fully qualified and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist working with Think CBT online via video-link and telephone.
I have worked in the field of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for over 10 years, predominantly in an NHS primary care setting alongside private practice, and I am a fully accredited with the BABCP.
I have an excellent knowledge base of the theories and protocols for a variety of presentations, such as depression, health anxiety and generalised anxiety disorder. I also understand the importance of adapting therapeutic approach to the individual, to help them gain the most from the process.
I appreciate how difficult it can be to start therapy and speak about very emotive subject matters, so initially my aim is to make sure you understand how CBT works and make you feel safe and comfortable to disclose your thoughts and feelings. We will then work on creating a good awareness and understanding of your difficulties, and set about helping you achieve your goals.
The sessions are most commonly on a weekly basis, but can be fortnightly at your request. They are 50/60-minutes in length.
