About Think CBT
Think CBT was founded in 2012 as an independent psychological service committed to providing access to affordable and high-quality CBT, EMDR and Clinical / Counselling Psychology. Our aim is to support tangible improvements in the psychological health and well-being of our clients, contributing to better lives worth changing for.
Think CBT is a therapist-led organisation operating accross the private and public sectors. Clinical services are provided by or under the direct supervision of HCPC-registered psychologists and every member of the team holds full professional accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
Since our inception we have treated thousands of individual private clients, providing clinical services to the NHS, Government departments, local authorities, private businesses and the medicolegal industry. We have a strong reputation as a commercially ethical psychological service and we consistently deliver clinical outcomes and client satisfaction ratings that are significantly above the industry average.
We have over 200 CBT specialists providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR and Psychology appointments across the UK and online via video link.

Our Clinical Services and Governance Arrangements
Our clinical services and governance arrangements can be divided into three broad areas covering:
- Direct clinical services provided by Think CBT directors and employees. These services are delivered by or under the direct supervision of HCPC-registered psychologists with BABCP accreditation.
- Clinical contract services provided by Think CBT associates under the direct clinical supervision of the Think CBT team. Clinical contract services are provided to the NHS and other medical commissioning bodies. Associates deliver therapy to the standards laid down by Think CBT and are paid for their work following the completion of therapy. This work is delivered by or under the direct clinical supervision of HCPC registered psychologists.
- Private referrals made to the Think CBT associate network. Private referrals to Think CBT associates are managed in strict accordance with our clinical and service standards, however responsibility for treatment and supervision is transferred to the individual associate once the appointment has been confirmed and accepted. Associate therapists pay a clinical administration fee to cover the costs of client on-boarding and pre-assessment.
All services provided directly or via referral are delivered in strict accordance with the clinical and operational standards outlined in the Think CBT associate agreement. This helps to ensures that contract and private clients consistently receive excellent services to the highest clinical standards.
