Professional Profile

My name is Jane I am an experienced CBT therapist and supervisor working with the Think CBT team. I am fully accredited with the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) and currently offer individual therapy via video conferencing including Zoom or telephone.

Traditional CBT forms the backbone of my therapy approach, but I have received training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness teaching. I will draw upon these, if appropriate, to enhance the therapy process and tailor it to your needs 

Having worked as a therapist in the NHS for 15 years I am experienced in working with emotional distress, depression, stress, and anxiety (including worry, health anxiety, OCD, Social Anxiety, Panic, phobias, and PTSD). I have also worked with people to address the mental health challenges posed by living with a long-term physical health condition, such as diabetes or fibromyalgia.

My approach is collaborative, and evidence-based, combining my expertise and skills with your knowledge of yourself and your goals. I strive to offer a safe and supportive place where you can explore, gain understanding, and make beneficial changes with the support of an experienced therapist who has your wellbeing at heart.
