My name is Rashda and I am a fully qualified and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist working with Think CBT from my consulting rooms in Wolverhampton (WV1). I also provide CBT online via Skype and Zoom - telephone therapy is also available.
I have extensive experience in delivering a wide range of evidence based psychological interventions, derived from therapies, including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness.
My approach to therapy is flexible and tailored to the client. The therapeutic relationship and rapport is of utmost importance and great emphasis is placed on the building and maintenance of it. Individual treatment plans are formulated collaboratively with the focus being on the individual needs and goals.
I am trained to deliver Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) to organisations within 72 hours following a traumatic incident.
I have a keen interest in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), its treatment, current research and developments. Academically, I wish to pursue research in relation to continuous trauma in areas of ongoing conflict.
I offer bespoke corporate wellbeing training and workshops to organisations, in line with their mental health and wellbeing strategies. A background in NHS service improvement, enables me to utilise my knowledge of LEAN strategies to offer recommendations in reconfiguring systems and processes to incorporate an appropriate, timely and effective level of intervention to employees relating to emotional wellbeing and mental health.
