How Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Can Help You

We all experience occasional distress in our lives and this is just part of the normal human condition. unexpected, painful and challenging situations can sometimes lead to frustration or confusion and contribute to a range of negative feelings and reactions.

Generally, as flexible and resilient individuals, we learn to accept and manage the problems that life presents and we maintain a balanced and fulfilling perspective. We bounce back and fully engage in life in spite of the difficulties that we experience.

Sometimes however, negative experiences or circumstances can lead to prolonged and highly distressing emotions, thoughts, behaviours and physical symptoms. We can find ourselves trapped in a vicious cycle leading to feelings of anxietydepression and  low self-esteem.

Where this persists, it can undermine our ability to cope, reduce our sense of self value and limit our capacity to reach our full potential.

But It Doesn't Have To Be Like This!

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) has been found to provide a highly effective approach for overcoming these problems. Research has demonstrated that CBT can equip individuals with the techniques required to regain control, build personal resilience and re-establish a healthy perspective.

CBT has been found to be particularly effective in managing problems such as panic attacks, phobias, social anxiety, OCD, trauma, health anxiety and depression.

If you are experiencing emotional, behavioural or psychological problems, you can take action to change this now.

For cognitive behavioural therapy in London, UK-wide and online via video-link,  contact Think CBT today to talk to us about how we can help.
