I am trained in long term conditions and regularly treat those suffering from Coronary Heart Disease (CHD). Acceptance and Commitment Therapy helped in focusing attention to their values. This is particularly important when we need to make changes to our lifestyle in wake of a diagnosis.
I have four years’ experience in working as an EMDR therapist. I have a strong interest in PTSD and trauma work. I have worked with several trauma presentations including medical trauma, with veterans, bereavement and loss. EMDR has helped them to process the distressing memories and this has not only been effective face to face but also remotely over video link.
I am a firm believer that everyone can change and acting earlier with mental health, before it becomes debilitating, can help to make a difference in someone's life. Seeing individuals I work with grow in emotional stability and being part of that journey, is the most rewarding experience.
