I am available on Thursdays from 9-11am and 1-2pm, and on Saturdays 9-10am ( private clients only on the weekend)
My name is Melina, I am a fully qualified and BABCP-accredited CBT therapist working with Think CBT from London, EC1V.
I have a Masters in Psychology and I further trained as CBT therapist earning a PGDip in High intensity CBT.
I have worked in NHS primary care mental health services for 10 years. Before that, I worked in secondary care services in the U.S.
I am passionate in using my knowledge and skills to help people reach their full potential.
I use evidence based strategies, as set by the NICE guidelines to treat depression, generalised anxiety disorder, OCD, PTSD, social anxiety, health anxiety, panic disorder and specific phobias as well as low self esteem.
In my work, I help people understand what is causing their problem, their triggers, emotions, bodily symptoms, thoughts and behaviours or in CBT terms "their 5 areas". Based on this formulation I then help you develop and maintain helpful coping strategies. I provide a safe and confidential environment, where I will listen to you empathetically and non judgementally. I will guide you to find your own answers through collaborative discussions and action plans.
I abide by the policies and ethical standards laid down by the BABCP and I have full professional indemnity to work as a therapist in the UK.
