I'm Lulu, a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, also registered with the HCPC. I trained initially as an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist (and remain registered with the BAAT), which gives me an additional, creative dimension to draw on within CBT.
I have over 20 years' experience supporting people with their mental health across the NHS, charity, and private sectors. In that time, I've developed the skills to offer a containing, encouraging, and non-judgemental space — one that helps people experiencing anxiety, low mood, burnout, or grief to move forward in a direction that reflects their own values.
You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. Perhaps you're seeking clarity, emotional balance, or meaningful change. Together, we'll explore what matters to you and build a tailored, evidence-based CBT plan to support your emotional wellbeing, behavioural change, and quality of life.
My approach
I offer a structured yet flexible CBT approach. Where it's helpful, I can draw on my arts psychotherapy background to bring in visual or creative techniques — such as metaphor or image-making — within that CBT framework, so the work stays evidence-based while being responsive to how you find it easiest to process information. My practice is client-led, goal-focused, and grounded in compassion, and I'll regularly check in for your feedback to make sure we're on track and working at a pace that feels right.
Therapy is a space to reflect, gain insight, and build practical tools for life's challenges — though it can also be a hard process at times. My aim is always to provide a safe, respectful, and collaborative environment where you feel heard. Through our work together, my hope is that you'll leave feeling more empowered, emotionally resilient, and equipped to navigate whatever comes next.
Practicalities
I abide by the policies and ethical standards of the BABCP, BAAT, and HCPC, and hold full professional indemnity insurance and current DBS clearance to practise as a therapist in the UK.
