My name is Esther and I am a fully qualified and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist working with Think CBT from my consulting rooms in North Manchester (BL9).
Due to Covid-19, I’m currently conducting all sessions by phone or online using Zoom, Skype or Microsoft Teams.
I’ve completed specialist training in EMDR, Compassion Focussed Therapy and I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness in my work.
I’ve been an Anxiety UK Approved Therapist since 2014 and this has given me extensive experience of working with people with anxiety disorders such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, Panic, Agoraphobia, Health Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Phobias, PTSD and also depression. I have provided CBT for people experiencing chronic pain and I have supported women fleeing domestic abuse.
Before becoming a CBT therapist, I worked in social care for twenty years as a Support Worker and Social Worker with adults with learning disabilities and autism. I’m particularly interested in working with women who have low self-esteem.
I have my own experiences of anxiety, panic and depression and so I have some personal understanding of how exhausting and restrictive these conditions can be. I’ve found CBT to be so incredibly useful in my own life that I’m passionate about sharing what I have learned with my clients.
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Behavioural Psychotherapy (BABCP) and I receive supervision from a BABCP accredited supervisor.
